We made some friends when we played the pacifist route, didnвЂ™t we? itвЂ™s important in the end, when we have to вЂњremindвЂќ lost souls about all that time we spend together - that way they can remember their feelings and who they truly are. player shows chara what to do, and in the end they act on their own. So what would pacifist route do to charaвЂ™s mindset? itвЂ™s hard to tell, because they never speak to the player, who knows, maybe because it didnвЂ™t change them that much? maybe it made them realize something important, but didnвЂ™t break them the same way вЂњno mercyвЂќ did.Д«ut surprisingly, pacifist route still works the same way as вЂњno mercyвЂќ. they donвЂ™t need playerвЂ™s commands anymore. then they kill asgore, then they kill flowey. it starts with sans, when they attack him out of playerвЂ™s turn. So in the end chara starts to act on their own volition. that they can forget about their feelings and just mindlessly play the game to the point it has nothing to offer anymore. that they can hunt and kill for every little bit of that power. but what player did? they showed them how good it feels to gain power. In the end of no mercy, chara said that playerвЂ™s guidance and determination are what made them realize their new purpose. i was like, do you mean asriel? why narration became so weird? his name was right there in front of us this whole time, why itвЂ™s so vague and confusing all of a sudden?Д«ut when you know some lore, this scene is pretty much self-explanatory andвЂ¦ itвЂ™s kinda the logical conclusion for pacifist route?

I remember when i played undertale for the first time and how confused i was by the scene where you save вЂњsomeone elseвЂќ. Every time i rewatch undertale pacifist ending (i still do this sometimes), the idea why and how chara helped us in the final battle with asriel becomes more clear for me.
